One of the hottest topics in Maine right now is the proposed CMP Energy Corridor — a transmission line that would travel through the southwestern part of the state. Some see it as a boon for Maine’s economy, while others see it as a bust for the environment and a clean energy future. So we’re digging into this issue in our May 24th general meeting.
We’re excited to have two fantastic guests on tap to share their perspectives and set the stage for lively break-out session debates:
Sandi Howard, Principal Officer, No CMP Corridor
Thorn Dickinson, President & CEO of NECEC Transmission, LLC. and Vice President of Business Development at Avangrid
Is this a good deal for Maine? Do its economic benefits outweigh the environmental toll? Would it really reduce the use of fossil fuels and help address climate change? Whether or not you have a position on the Corridor, come listen to both sides and then share your thoughts!
This meeting does require advance registration to help us plan a bit better.
